What wonderful memories Winifred gave us! As a child, I remember Winifred as my mother's best friend. They would talk on the phone every Saturday morning and I could hear Mom laughing and giggling much of the time when they talked. I could tell they comforted one another during tough times, too. It is a testament to them both that their friendship survived so many years. I remember Winnie as someone who brought joy and laughter with her when she visited us and it was evident in her home when we visited her. In more recent years, we were astonished to hear that she had gone to a concert or play with friends on a cold wintry night when many people half her age did not want to venture out. She will be missed and she won't be forgotten. We loved her! We are sorry for the loss of your wonderful Winifred and happy that she was part of our lives. Peter and Joani Whipple

My name is Steven Bishop and I grew up with Foofie's grandson, Brad and their family in Lakewood. Being without grandparents, Foofie always had that special hug and smile for me that I missed out on. What an incredible spirit of love and good will she had and shared. Thank you for adopting me, Foofie. I will miss you! All my love, Steven
