A vacant chair sits among you, but the memories of it will last forever. Knowing that Mickey had hope gives all hope and comfort to know that he sleeps in Jesus. Words cannot express but Matt. 5:4 says, Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. I shall continue to keep each of you in prayer as you go through these hours of sorrow.

Mickey and I have been friends since elementary school in Midway, Georgia. Though we haven't seen each other in years, we maintained frequent phone contact. Our last conversation was on Thursday, 8/9/2012, early evening. To say I was shocked to hear of Mickey's death is an understatement. Mickey spoke lovingly of family. He always had a positive attitude. I will miss our conversations. When I think of Mickey, I smile. Remember, Mickey is only a "thought" away. May your memories bring you comfort.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Mick in college at Black Hills State. He was a very kind and devoted friend. We used to study together at BH. And by an odd twist of fate I met Barb and Paul 37 years ago. Barb and I have been friends since that time----more like family. The last time I had the pleasure of seeing Mick was at Paul and Emily's wedding----we sat at the same table at the reception. I'm glad I got to visit this very good man. I will keep you all in my prayers and I know Mick is in God's hands.

My sincere condolscences go out to the entire Hendry family. I never personally met Mickey, but introduced by his cousin, Ms. I Dyann. Mickey and I spoke occasionally, depositing encouragement into my life with every word which has last 3 years. He was always there for me and my family offering his assistance in any way or form. His most recent help was extended when my mother died this past March. He continually reminded me that God never fails...just tell Him what your desires are-I told Mickey I need "peace"- Mickey said this too you will have. I know the heavens are rejoicing his homecoming and I am sure He will be Jesus Christ's right hand man for God' Love he shared with so many people left behind.

Mickey was a precious friend to me. He was the first person I met when I went to interview at the Renaissance. He greeted me at the door with that wonderful smile of his and wished me luck for my interview. After I started working there, we instantly became friends. He gave me advice on so many subjects and I loved to pick his brain about music. He would always indulge me for as long as I wanted to talk! Mickey was always gracious like that. Mickey was a hard working, kind, loving, and beautiful man. I am thankful for the friendship we shared and the imprint he has left on my life. Mickey, I can't wait to see you again someday. We will have a million things to talk about! I love you. Friends forever, Mary
