Obituary of William Wince

William Earl Wince - Born July 18, 1922 in Middlebourne, W.Va. Bill Wince was a Sergeant in the US Army and served in the South Pacific during World War II. He married Fredna Bramlett in 1946 and graduated in less than three years with a degree in accounting from Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va. in 1949. After graduation Bill went to work for The Burroughs Corp, now part of Unisys. He lived in WV and MI. before coming to Tulsa in 1966, holding positions in sales, marketing, and management before retiring after 32 years in 1981. While retired, Bill volunteered with the Meals on Wheels program being given an award recognizing his length of service for them. Additionally, Bill was active with his church - New Haven United Methodist - helping keep the lawn and buildings maintained, serving on the Administrative Board, and teaching Sunday school. Bill enjoyed RV'ing -The extended Wince Family came together every Labor Day for an annual event. He was an avid bridge player and golfer. Bill truly enjoyed his family, friends, and neighbors! He loved lending a hand and appreciated their help in return. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Fredna Bramlett Wince; son, William Earl Wince, Jr. and daughter-in-law Joyce Wince of Edmond, OK, daughter Elizabeth Wince Wilson and son-in-law Jeffrey Wilson of Mandeville, LA, and son Douglas James Wince and daughter-in-law Sheryl Wince of Jenks, OK. Bill was also loved by his 7 grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 17th at Ninde Funeral Home 5757 S Memorial Dr. Tulsa, OK Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18th at New Haven Methodist Church 5603 S.
