Obituary of Patricia Allen

Patricia Kay (Holman) Allen, "Kay" was born September 26, 1943 in Oklahoma City, OK to Harley Dean and Dortha Francis (McBeth) Holman. She passed from this life on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the age of 64. Kay was preceded in death by both of her parents and one daughter Robin Kay Willis. Kay is survived by her husband, Andrew B. Allen of Tulsa, her 3 children Kevin Medlin of Pearland, TX, Beau Willis of Columbus, OH and Kandi Zastro of Lexington, KY; two step daughters Cathy Leitch of Katy, TX and Linda Boen of Tulsa, two grandchildren, Olivia Kay Zastro of Lexington, KY and Benjamin Willis of Columbus, OH, four step grandchildren, Jennifer Norton of Broken Arrow, OK, Kathy Willis of Tahlequah, OK, Debbie Lybarger of Tulsa, and Karen Clark of Columbia, MO, and 7 step great grandchildren, as well as 3 brothers and 2 sisters. When Kay's father returned from service in World War II, she and the family moved to Cordell, OK where she graduated from Cordell High School. She represented Cordell and was crowned Miss Congeniality in the Miss Queen of the West Beauty Pageant. After high school, she attended beauty college and opened her own beauty salon on the square in Cordell. She also worked as a talent coordinator for the Oklahoma State Fair and the Tulsa State Fair. She eventually became a full-time homemaker after having four children. She lived in various parts of Oklahoma before moving to Lexington, KY and then Columbus, OH. Kay was a dynamic and charming woman with a beautiful smile that rarely met a stranger. She was a devoted and loving mother and wife who will be greatly missed. There will be a family visitation Monday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home, 3841 S. Peoria, Tulsa, OK. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Shields Church, 100 S.E. 46th Street, Oklahoma City, OK with graveside committal to follow at Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, Oklahoma.
