Obituary of Robert Macon

Robert Dale Macon was born November 1, 1931 in Bentonville, Arkansas to his parents Tom R. and Margaret Isabel (Scoggan) Macon. He passed from this life April 11 to his great reward at the age of 76. Robert earned his bachelor's degree in education and served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a Production Controller for Yuba Heat Transfer from 1965-1997. He took great delight in serving his church, Evangelistic Temple. He served as Lead Usher for many years and led a great life of faith and love. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother Michael Thomas Macon, Robert is survived by his wife, Carol Macon of the home; his sons, Robert Kent & Donna Macon of Beggs, OK and Randall Scott & Wanda Macon of Owasso, OK; his brother-in-law, Joe Thomas Motley of Vaughn, AR; his brother John Marcus and Louene Macon of Centerton, AR; his granddaughters, Whitney Dawn Macon, Donya Michelle Sorrels and Sarah Kerri Durant; and his great grandchildren, Ashleigh Dawn Robinson, Alexander Schuyler Robinson, Noah Nathaniel Durant, Alyssa Mirah Durant, Raven Mikell Thomas, Katelyn Michelle Thomas and Britteny Ashton Sorrels. He will be greatly missed by all and the impact he had will carry us throughout our lifetimes. He will lie in state at the Brookside Chapel Monday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. A Funeral service will be held at Evangelistic Temple 10:00 am Tuesday with interment to follow in Barron Cemetery, Vaughn, AR.
