Thanks be to God and Mary for sharing Jim with us. Jim's great gain (Philip 1:21)is our loss. May our loss be seasoned with the fact that he is now absent from the body and face to face with His Lord enjoying full and intimate fellowship with Him(2 Cor 5:8). He is the fortunate one! Fortunate because he accepted the grace of God by faith in Christ (Eph 2:8-9). We are all products of God's grace. What a blessing to have such a friend like Jim who reflected God's grace toward us. What a loss for us! What a gain for him!

Jim, a some words for you first. You were one of the few people in my life that I can truly say that I never felt even a moment of anger toward; even when you got part of our convoy lost on our return from Ft Riley. I know you'll never forget my characterization of you as being like a big old friendly dog. We had a couple of laughs about that...remember? All will miss you,Jim. None more so than those most close to you. But, I hope to see you again,old friend,for some more laughs and reminiscences. Mary, I sense the burden of loss and sorrow you and the kids must feel, but know that there are many others that share your loss and want to help you bear the burden, I being one among that many. I believe that God's love will fill the void of Jim's absence. Sonny

We have valued Jim's friendship through the years and his faithfulness to doctrine. As one of the founding members of Faith Bible Church he has provided encouragement and remained true to learning God's word - and is now face to face with our Lord - able to ask all those doctrinal questions that have had us all stumped from time to time!
