Obituary of Jane Stavros

Ninde Funeral Directors ________________________________________ Jane Eleanor Hurt Stavros (October 22, 1941 - December 23, 2007) Stavros, Jane Eleanor Hurt, 66, of Tulsa, OK fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, December 23, 2007 following an extended illness. Mrs. Stavros was born October 22, 1941 in Lawrence, Kansas the youngest of five children to Victor C. and Wincel (Youslin) Hurt. Jane Met Nicholas K. Stavros while both were attending college classes in Kansas. They were married July 16, 1960 and began their family. In the years to follow together Jane and Nick founded Metro Builders Supply. Today Metro Builders Supply has grown to ten locations in four states and is continuing to grow. Jane has worked by her husband's side since 1974 as Secretary/Treasurer and served on the board of directors until her death. Both Jane and Nick were active members of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Jane is survived by her husband of 47 years, Nick K. Stavros; her daughters: Stephanie Stavros Guinn and her husband Steve of Morrillton, AR and Tina Stavros Morton and her husband Rusty of Oklahoma City; her son: John Stavros and his wife Rebecca Jones Stavros of Collinsville, OK; her grandchildren: Allison Nicole Deaton, Audrey Riley Morton, Elizabeth Janell Stavros, Nicholas John Stavros, Ashley Guinn Moore, Jacob Stavros Guinn and Alexandra Jane Guinn; her sister: Marti Phillips. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews from California to Athens, Greece. The Stavros family would like to thank Dr. John Hubner, Dr. Dougal and the St. John Hospitalists for their care extended toward Jane. The St. John's 11th Floor Staff truly demonstrated compassionate care. We want to acknowledge Melissa, RN, Glenda, RN, Lorna, RN, Mary, RN, Brandi, CMA and our friend Maria Nelson. Trisagion prayers will be offered at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and the funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday both at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial offerings be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Stavros Learning Center, 1222 S.
