Obituary of Maxine Endicott

Please share a memory of Maxine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
She was borne home peacefully on angels' wings to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, January 17, 2012 at the age of 92 years. Maxine was born March 5, 1919, in Osage County, to John and Daisy Schafer. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Buck Covey in 1951 and Herman Endicott in 1992; a brother, James Harrison (Buck) Schafer and one sister, Annie Meredith, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is survived by one niece, Lila Mae VanDeusen and her husband, Bill, of Tulsa along with numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Maxine particularly cherished the company and caring of her church friends and her long-time neighbors and friends, Mr. and Mrs. James Hay, who contributed much to her care during her times of illness and need. She was devoted to her late husband and her faith and had a deep sense of family love and loyalty. She was a strong, beautiful lady with a delightfully unassuming sense of humor. To know her was to love her. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. "TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD" Rest in heavenly peace, dear lady. Maxine will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and her funeral will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, both at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest 12:00 p.m. Friday at the Highland Park Cemetery, Oilton, Oklahoma. Ninde Brookside ~ 918.742.5556 ~ www.ninde.com
