Louise C. Tilly was born February 23, 1934 in Tulsa to John Emmett and Agnes (Allen) Curran. She passed from this life Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in Tulsa at the age of 80. Fulfilling her educational pursuit Louise attended Holland Hall K through 12th grade and graduated in 1952, attended Pine Manor College in Wellesley, MA and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1956 a Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority member. Heavily involved in her community she was a longtime member of the Southern Hills Country Club, The Tulsa Club, the Trinity Episcopalian Church and a member of both the Junior League of Tulsa and Cascia Hall Mother's Club. She loved ice skating and was involved with the Tulsa Ice Capades. Other than spending the last 3 years in Hilton Head, SC with her son John, she was a Tulsa resident her entire life. Louise loved and was very dedicated to her family. She had a lovely disposition, was kind, had a great sense of humor and was very popular. She was also referred to as "The Belle of the Ball". Indeed, she was a true Irish beauty with dark hair, green eyes and ivory skin. Appropriate that she be remembered on Saint Patrick's Day. Louise was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Virgil S. Tilly, Jr. She is survived by two sons, John C. Tilly and Virgil S. Tilly, III; and four grandchildren, Victoria Tilly, Nicholas Tilly, Matthew Tilly and Robert Tilly. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Trinity Episcopal Church.
