Obituary of H. Bradshaw

Lou Bradshaw, age 87, fell into the arms of Jesus on August 11, 2013, after a long illness. For the past 6 years, she has been lovingly cared for by her daughter, Sister Charlotte, who was blessed to be at her side during her last breath. Lou was born on July 9, 1926 in Mundy, Texas, to Guy & Crisa (Swain) Reagan. As a devoted, life-long Baptist she enjoyed singing in the church choir. Lou loved to listen to anything by the Gaithers. Among her other favorite songs to sing was "God Bless America" after which she would always say how much she loved this country. Lou was a marvelous cook and enjoyed entertaining and sharing her favorite dishes. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Children's Cancer Wing at St Francis Hospital in Tulsa for many years.
Lou was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cliff Bradshaw; her parents; two brothers, Lee Moins and George Washington Reagan; six sisters, Bernie Reagan, Georgianna Reagan, Hester Lillard, Clodell Ramey, Jeanette Korneygay and Opal Wallace; son, Philip Hanks; and beloved grandson Christopher Johnson.
She is survived by children: Sister Charlotte, Bethany, OK; David Hanks, Edmond, OK; Davine Harding, Dallas, TX; Rich Hanks, Midwest City, OK; and step-daughter Lela Wells of Manchester, England.
Grandchildren include: James "Stormy" Johnson, Dallas, TX; Ursula Webb, Moore, OK; Rob Smith, Kansas City, KS; DJ Hanks, Tahlequah, OK; Elliott Hanks, Stillwater, OK; Mark Hanks, Bixby, OK; Ricky Hanks, Tulsa, OK; Jenn Hanks, Broken Arrow, OK; Mathew Hanks, Midwest City, OK; as well as 20 Great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.
She will lie in state Thursday, August 15, from 10 AM to 8 PM at Ninde Funeral Home, 3841 South Peoria, Tulsa, OK. Her funeral will be held Friday, August 16, 2013, at 2 PM at the same location. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
