The most interesting person I have ever known. Unmatched in wisdom and humor, a deadly combination for all who knew him. I learned quickly not to voice a comeback to anything. Just take it and hope he lets you off easy. I will treasure our time as friends at Rogers. My deepest sympathy Sue Beth and John.
My sincere condolences to the family. I remember Carl standing in the hallway always talking to the students. His long teaching tenure is rare nowadays. RIP Mr. Hale
Mr. Hale was my chemistry teacher during my 1970 senior year at Will Rogers. His name has always been at the top of the list whenever someone asks me who was my favorite teacher. His humor just kept me in stitches and the way he taught was engaging. About 10 years ago, I ran into Mr. Hale at BOK. As we passed through the doors, he turned and said “are you Mark Lewellen and did you graduate in 1970?” What an honor I felt from this man that I had not seen for 45 years. Rest well my teacher my friend. To his family, my kindest regards. .
