I have such fond memories of summer visits at the lake - even before indoor plumbing in the cabin. Tom was always such good company. He will be missed by so many.

Tom Sterling was a man of caliber. The type of guy that could land the plane, or change a diaper. A man you could trust.
Tom's love for music brought him into my world, and he became my father's dearest friend and co-musician.
Sandy and Tom shared a great love. One look at them together told you that. Where one went, you always found the other.
Tom always had time to listen, to share a moment with you, and was just a decent and kind man.
His talent radiated whenever he played his saxophone. Watching him perform, along with his love, Sandy, was something to behold.
People like Tom should live forever - for they are the good, they are the best of us.
Sleep well, Tom. I know you'll have many gigs up there with the rest of the gang.

Tom was a true friend and one of my favorite tenor sax players that I played so many gigs with for over 35 years. He had a smooth beautiful sound and a superb choice of notes when he improvised, reminding me of Stan Getz.
I called him “Those” (After his abbreviated first name -Thos.), and he called me “Mr. Benny”.
I played with him on literally hundreds of gigs, jam sessions and recordings over the years with my own band, the Mike Moore Big Band, The Sammy Pagna Big Band, The Dennis Bayton Big Band, the Starlight Concert Big Band, Steve Ham’s Jambalaya Jass Band and countless Tulsa Jazz Society gigs.
I never EVER saw Tom mad or heard him say anything negative about anyone or anything! He exemplified LOVE.
So sorry for you loss Sandy and girls, heaven just gained a prince of a guy; I’ll see you later Those.
