Obituary of Robert David Allan

Robert David Allan, known to his loved ones as Bob, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2023, in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 86. Bob was born on October 1, 1936, in Lee's Summit, Missouri, to the late Richard and Edith (Criqui) Allan.

Bob led a remarkable life, filled with hard work, dedication, and love for his family. He married Judy Cook shortly after high school and they had three children. His second wife was Patsy Terrel and they had three children. He proudly served in the Army from 1961 to 1963. In the late 60’s he moved from Kansas to Tulsa Ok. where he meet and married Janice Allan. He adopted her child and they had one together.  They shared a beautiful life for 45 years until her passing.

After moving to Tulsa, Bob pursued a successful career as a Drywall installer, leaving his mark on many of the major buildings in the city. In his free time, Bob enjoyed his favorite hobbies, including fishing, hunting, and archery. Bob's love for the outdoors was evident in the stories he shared with his family and friends.

Bob's children and grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and though they may not have been close in proximity, he eagerly anticipated their calls and spoke of them with immense pride and affection. He resided with his youngest daughter Ro (formerly Roberta) and her wife Lyndi Allan for the last year.

Bob is survived by his loving daughters, Cheryl, Carol , Laura, Dixie, Dianna, and Ro. He is also survived by his brother, Art Allan, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Janice, his children Ronald, Donnetta, his grandsons Garret, Tyler, his siblings Ken, Jim, June, and his second wife, Patsy.

A funeral service to celebrate Bob's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 2 at Ninde Brookside Chapel in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with graveside service to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Bob's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his hard work, dedication, and unwavering love for his family. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
