Irma Losey passed suddenly on Saturday, June 22, 2013 in Lake Charles, Louisiana 43 years after losing her beloved husband, Fred Arthur Losey, to emphysema. Born March 6, 1926 in Lauratown, Arkansas, she was the daughter of William H. Spotts and Molly Stennett, the baby among 11 sisters and brothers. Irma and Fred raised two daughters and a son in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she was an active member of Trinity Methodist and First United Methodist Church. After Fred's death, she took over their real estate business and became a real estate appraiser - the first woman Veteran's Administration appraiser in Oklahoma. She moved to Lake Charles in 2010 where she joined First Methodist Church. Irma is survived by her children and grandchildren, son, Daniel Arthur Losey and his wife, Melinda Dinger Losey and grandchildren Katie Michelle Losey and Mark Adam Losey, all of Lake Charles; daughter Donna Lee Spence and grandson Arthur Daniel Gibert of Austin, Texas; daughter, Jeanette Losey Elliott and husband Rand of Oklahoma City; and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday starting at 8:45 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
