Obituary of Michelle Rae McKee

Michelle Rae McKee, age 50, passed away on May 31st, 2022 in New Delhi, India. Michelle was born to Kristen LaBass and John Erling on June 10th, 1971, in Fargo, North Dakota. Michelle is survived by her husband, Will McKee, her parents Kristen and Bob LaBass and John and Margaret Erling; her brother and sister-in-law, David and Missy Frette, and her niece and nephew, Emma and Lars Frette. Michelle was preceded in death by a pack of poodles, Champ, Atticus, Murphy and most recently, Sam. Michelle was a lover of dogs and donkeys. She also fed birds and squirrels. Michelle was intelligent, funny, a quick wit, a gym rat, a foodie in her own way, a lover of musicals and fashion. She was a big laugher, an adventurer, and a warm caring woman. She loved the simple things in life, like waking up early, exercising, reading, listening to music, watching birds, cuddling, going on tiny adventures. She had her share of big adventures too. After graduating from The University of Tulsa and working at KWGS for years, she began living abroad in Egypt and India and wandering through Mexico, Central America and all over the U.S. Michelle was starting a new adventure in Dharamshala, India when she passed away peacefully in her sleep in New Delhi. Michelle made people feel lively and ready to share experiences and stories. She loved conversation and learning about people and their ways of thinking.
