Obituary of Patricia Perry Chaney

Patricia Perry Chaney was born on May 12, 1941 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Myrtle Ann Wellington Perry and Waynard Burton Perry. Pat Perry Chaney went to be with her Lord on June 3, 2022 after an eight month battle at the age of 81. Pat grew up in Oklahoma City and attended elementary school there. She is a 1959 graduate of Tulsa’s Edison High School. She graduated in 1963 from the OU School of Design. She pursued her Masters and PhD at the University of Wisconsin. She was a Chi Omega member. Her passing will leave an empty spot in all of her friends’ hearts. She always expected the best of her friends, and they were given the best of Pat. She had a strong spiritual faith and was active with the First United Methodist Church in downtown Tulsa. She loved to travel and visited many places around the world, but one of her favorites was Israel. An avid tennis player, she loved and played many sports in her life. She was generous and caring, to her friends and people she didn’t know. She is survived by a niece and cousins, and a plethora of friends. Service 11:00 A.M. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with a private entombment at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite cat rescue agency.
