When I think of Deno, I think of a man who always had a smile on his face and a kind word to say. I am thankful to have known him. May his memory be eternal

I love how in his story the writer mentioned how someone took him under their wing and showed him the art of the kitchen. Deno did the same for me and countless others. He welcomed everyone into his life, and loved sharing the beauty of this world with others. He truly loved people and in turn was truly loved.

Our family was so saddened to hear of his passing. He was one of the first to welcome us to the Holy Trinity family when we first moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a great father, grandfather, and family man. He was also a great Christian. We know he passed that legacy of greatness to his children and grandchildren. One of the most cherished memories we have is that he shared that passion of gardening with my mom. He gifted us a sprig of his fig tree. This was one of our most fruitful trees when we lived at the historical Brady Mansion in Tulsa. We took offspring of this tree to Puerto Rico, and to Florida. The Florida tree is currently well-nurtured in a pot, and soon will come with us to the house we are moving to in the countryside to join over 20 other fruit trees. His Fig Tree legacy will always live on in our hearts.
Our heartfelt condolences to family, friends, and loved ones. You are in our prayers.
With love,
James, Elba, Artie, and Susan Kufdakis

Deno always looked like Santa Claus to me. He always had a smile and encouraging words and was full of life! He was one of the first Greeks (besides Deme) that captured my heart. I loved every ounce of food he cooked me. I will forever feel honored that he cooked for our rehearsal dinner. We always felt so welcome at he and Artemis' home - irreplaceable memories and feelings. Deno, may your memory be eternal. I love you and will miss you.

Deno's passing will leave a void that will be impossible to fill. My heartfelt condolences go out to Artemis, the children, the family and all who loved him. Also, this tribute was so beautifully written... Gregg Washburn, I recognize your writing here! What a lovely way to honor this man and his family. May his memory be eternal.

Deno was like the “giving tree” in the children’s story~so selfless. He gave so many of us shelter, comfort, and a place to rest from the world. I hold precious the memories of us sitting beneath his own tree and talking about his garden or his beloved Greece. His spirit shall surely live on giving the breath of life through the rustle of leaves. How blessed we will be to hear his beloved voice again.
Θα αγαπώ για πάντα.

So many memories of Deno. The best was watching him cook with pride for the Greek Festivals. He worked tirelessly and enjoyed every minute of it. Deno was always a gracious host and found the good in everything. As a greeter at the church he welcomed you with a smile. Strangers to the parish became his new friends. His dedication to his church and love of his family was visible in everything he did. He will be missed by many. May his memory be eternal.
