Jacqueline P. Tomsovic was born on April 21, 1945 in Denver, CO to John and Frances (Dulivarri) Pierce. Jacqueline passed from this life on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the age of 75. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Tomsovic and her stepson, Richard L Tomsovic. She is survived by her sons, Brian J. Tomsovic of Tulsa, OK and Justin E. Tomsovic of Haydenville, MA and stepdaughters, Frances Tomsovic, Patricia Fisher, Barbara Dahl and Judith Tomsovic; and her sister, Patricia Pierce.
After growing up in Denver, Jacque attended Colorado State University, where she headed the Kennedy call to service, joining the Peace Corps and serving in Bolivia. Upon returning to the United States she settled in southern California, where she worked in hospital administration. Jacque married Edward Tomsovic in 1973 and the pair remained a devoted couple until Ed’s passing in 1997. The family moved from California to Tulsa in the late 70’s. Jacque was highly active in community service, doing work for the Red Cross, the March of Dimes, Family and Children’s Services, FINCA, and many other organizations. After completing a degree in computer science, Jacque worked as an academic instructor in the field as well as an independent consultant. Jacque was a lover of animals and her gentle nature and caring touch brought comfort and happiness to many creatures over her life. In her final years, Jacque was active in community building in her neighborhood of Walnut Creek, serving as President of the Home Owner’s Association and spearheading multiple initiatives which improved the neighborhood and Tulsa. Jacque was, throughout her life, a caring person devoted to service. She was a blessing to all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
