I met Sherry in 1971 when she brought Rick home to meet "the family". She was the quintessential hostess and she was generous with everything in her life. She had a laugh that could shake the rafters and voice reminiscent of Anne Bancroft! I remember a fondue dinner at her parent's home and years of week ends at the lake at Duck Creek. There were lobster parties in the garden to support Tulsa Opera and bailing out Ian's nursery after the 1984 Memorial Day flood! What more can I say about a friendship of over 48 years. Sherry was a sister to me and I will miss her but I will never forget her. I am reminded of a quote from St. Augustine, "I want my friend to miss me as long as I miss her". Sail on my friend, we'll catch up later.
