Obituary of Marcia Andrew

Marcia Joan (Ericson) Andrew passed away in the early morning hours of March 17, 2013 with her family at her side. She was born on October 22, 1939 to Marshall and Carolyn (Cox) Ericson in Detroit, Michigan. She married Clark Andrew on August 14, 1957 and together they raised three children; Vicki, Clark III and Amy. Marcia was a devoted wife and mother to Clark and their three children. In 1967 the young family moved to Philadelphia and 8 years later they made their way to Tulsa. Marcia was busy over the years with many activities but found her true passion when she took up golf in her early 40's. She played whenever she could and it didn't take long before she had her first hole in one! She would have 6 more before she gave up playing because of hip pain. In 1999 Clark and Marcia retired full time to their lake home at Shangri La on Grand Lake where they spent their time gardening, golfing and just enjoying their life together. Together they created a beautiful garden beside their home on a hill next to the pond that spilled into the lake. Their neighbors encouraged them to continue around the pond and over the years they created a garden that nearly encircled the pond. It was a beautiful oasis that was enjoyed by their neighbors and many friends. Marcia is survived by her husband of 55 years, Clark; her daughter Vicki and husband Jim Stockwell; her son Clark and wife Kristy; her daughter Amy and husband Dusty Smith; her sister Shirley and husband William Curtis. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Sarah, Kellen, Kramer, Bailey, Peyton, Hannah and Elliott as well as her step grand children Jimmy and Jennifer; and great grandchildren Ryder and Easton. The family will have a private memorial service celebrating her life. A service will be held in the near future so her many friends can gather to share their fond memories of time spent with Marcia.
