Obituary of Flora Jean Trimble
Flora “Jean” (Snow) Trimble, 95, of Tulsa, OK passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017. Jean was born on December 19, 1921 in Tulsa, OK. She graduated from Tulsa’s Central High School in 1939, and afterward was a member of the reunion committee. Along with some of her high school girlfriends, she was a member of the “OWL Club”. Jean met and married the love of her life, Huston “Lance” Trimble, and they had two children, John and Jeanne. Jean was a long-time member of Skelly Drive Baptist Church. She worked as a customer service clerk at Butler Drug, then Couch Pharmacy, from the 1950s to 2006!
Jean was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Lance, who passed away in February. She was a loving mother and a fun, cool “Gramma” who loved her family without limits. She kept up with pop culture and technology, had a great sense of humor and style, enjoyed reading, gardening, decorating her home and walking at the mall. She was very special and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Lance Trimble; her parents, Owen Price Snow and Flora Mae (Dalton) Lamb; and her sister and brother. She is survived by her son, John Trimble, and his wife, Cheryl (Scottsdale, AZ); daughter, Jeanne Smith (Cypress, TX); four granddaughters, Lorrie Reibert, Lani Wilson, Jennifer Prior and Lindsey Clayton; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler Reibert, Sarah Reibert, Hayleigh Luza, Kara Luza, Norah Clayton, Henry Clayton, Teagan Prior and Colin Prior; and one great-great-grandson, Malachi Reibert.
Jean will lie in state from noon to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
Family suggests contributions be made in Jean’s memory to the Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma Chapter, 2448 E 81st St #3000,
