So sorry for your loss. When I was in college Jim and I worked together in the art department at Didde-Glaser in Emporia, KS. He was lots of fun and entertainment. I was amazed at his skills! We had a few conversations about cars.

It was my privilege to work with Jim at FW Murphy for over ten years. Jim was a highly valued member of the marketing team and I will always be grateful to have learned from his positive outlook and caring nature which he demonstrated each day. Sending positive thoughts and prayers to the Mickle family.

My sympathy to Robin and family. I have lived by Jim and Robin for 17 years. Jim was a wonderful neighbor. He would watch my house and collect my mail when I was gone. He was always cheerful and helpful any time I asked. I will miss him driving out in his truck in the mornings. I will miss his friendly smile and just being there when I needed something. I will be praying for the family, especially Robin.

We have lost a very special person, a very special friend. Jim was indeed a friend to all he crossed paths with as far as I could tell. I was fortunate enough to spend time with Jim on a few long distance road trips and over night stays. These trips we're even more inspirational than just the normal interaction with Jim. The grace with which he approached life will remain with me for the rest of my life. I will miss his presence in my life. I know his family is devastated but once the grief eases the memories of Jim will remain and will provide many smiles. Which is exactly want he would want. I just can't believe that I will never see him again, never hear " hey Dude" again.

We first met Jim many years ago in The Tulsa Vette Set and continued our friendship with him through street rods. There was never a dull moment around Jim. The day he married Robin was a great day to remember. We were all waiting for the service to begin in their backyard when she was driven up in a classic car. When she stepped out of the car Jim was so excited to see her and said "Wow, isnt she beautiful". Drive around heaven now Jim. Your sweet soul will be missed by all of your car buddies.

I am so sad to hear we have lost the bright ray of sunshine that I know as Jimmy Mickle. I have known him all my life since cruising Brookside when I was a teen and he collected juke boxes. Through the Coca Cola years, the cigarette memorabilia and especially hot rod days. He was never lacking for a smile and a good laugh. What joy that we all knew him. Prayers for Robin and the family.

I have also been a "car guy" for decades and have known Jim just shy of 40 years. Jim was a great person and always had time for anyone that wanted to visit with him. I was always amazed at how Jim never considered himself "limited" in his abilities and capabilities...scoffed at the mere idea of using a handicapped parking place!!
Many people in the local "car circle" know that Jim bought my red 1932 Ford highboy roadster in 1990. He kept it about a year and sold it to a man in Texas. That man kept it a year and after his wife got soaked in it in a rainstorm, he put it up for sale. I wound up buying it back. After three years, Jim called one day and asked if he could come over and talk about buying it a second time!! A deal was made and the bottom line is we had many laughs about both of us owning it twice. Jim later sold it to a man in Kansas City, and wouldn't you know it...that man passed away last year and the car was offered to me by his son. Jim and I looked at each other and asked one another if third time was a charm?? We both laughed and decided twice was enough and passed on the offering.
That's just one of many memories I thought I would share. May Jim rest in peace and perfect health for eternity.

I have known Little Jimmie since the late 70's and he was always a joy and a blessing to everyone he came in contact with!! He didn't know a stranger and was always fun and kind to everyone!! He was always the life of the party when he was around he had such a blissful energy!! He never complained but was always helpful in whatever he could do!!! I never met anyone that didn't just adore Jimmie!! He was always loved by everyone especially the street rodders!! Always a smile and joke or something to get everyone on the right track!!! Our prayers to his beautiful wife, son Jamie and grandson in God's love and grace always!

So shocked to learn of Jim's passing from a mutual friend this morning . . . We became friends a number of years ago through collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and would see each other frequently at the fair grounds flea market over the following 40 years.
Jimmy was one of a kind and will truly be missed. He could always make you laugh and would bring a smile any time he was around. Our world lost a good one and heaven has gotten even better. Hope to see you again someday buddy!
