Obituary of Steven Conley

Please share a memory of Steven to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Steven Earl Conley was born August 24, 1951 in El Reno, OK to Earl Garner Conley and the late Margaret (Margot) Elvina Holt and passed from this life December 20, 2012 at the age of 61. As a teen, Steve went to Wentworth Military School in Missouri and studied Criminal Law at NSU and Rogers State College. He was employed as a security guard at St. Francis Hospital and always had interesting stories to tell. He also worked part time as a private investigator throughout his career. He previously worked at OPI, Farr's Cycles and earlier worked for his father's company. Steve was a friend to everybody. He was always on the phone to someone or on the computer website Oklahoma Shooters Association. He had a passion for motorcycles, hot rod cars, going to the drag strip and car shows. His dream was to go on an African Safari to hunt water buffalo and to retire in Florida. We had many wonderful vacations on the Florida Gulf Coast-deep sea fishing, watching sunsets from the beach and visiting with friends he used to work with when he lived there. And of course eating as much shrimp as possible! He loved going to the movies-our weekly Monday date. Steve loved life. Steve will be greatly missed. Steven is survived by his wife, Mary Murphy Conley; his father Earl Conley, children Christopher Carter and Jennifer Cavalier, who he raised as his own, cousin Karen Conley and her husband Roger Greene. A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 5 at the Ninde Brookside Chapel. Ninde Brookside 918-742-5556
