Obituary of Emma Jeane Hobson

Emma Jeane (Roach) Hobson passed from this life on May 23, 2015 in Tulsa at the age of 96. She was born May 16, 1919 to Neal and Lena Roach in Shawnee, OK. She was the only girl, the second, of seven children and learned early how to mother her brothers and be bossy. During the war, she drove daily to Tinker Field to work on aircraft instrument panels. In 1945 she married Bobby Weeks Hobson and settled in Tulsa. They had three girls and Jeane became very involved in the girls activities, as well as many other community organizations. Jeane was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years and four of her brothers. She is survived by her brother Richard Roach and Paul Roach, along with her 3 daughters and sons in law Jeannine Hobson Hanner and her husband, Ed, of Tulsa, Janice Hobson and husband Michael Murphy, of St Louis, and Donna Hobson Barnes and husband Gilbert of Perryton, TX; two grandchildren, Brock Barnes and Bethany Weaver, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Wednesday at Ninde Brookside Chapel. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
