Obituary of Eldon Lebow

Eldon Raymond Lebow was born March 8, 1917 in Ames, OK to James "Jim" Mee & Lulu (Voreis) Lebow and passed from this life November 21, 2012 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 95.
Eldon went to Civilian Conservation Corps from 1936-1939 under the War Department in Stapp, OK working on road construction. He also served as a assistant educational advisor and was discharged on May 31, 1939. Eldon drove a school bus for four years in Foyil, OK while attending and graduating High School there. Upon graduation he worked for the Dupont Power Plant in Pryor, OK manufacturing ammunition during World War II. For the next ten years he worked for Gravely Tractor Company prior to working for the Public Service Company of Oklahoma where he worked in the meter department. He was employed by P.S.O. from 1956-1979 with twenty-three years of employment upon his retirement.
Eldon was a Boy Scout Master, an assistant Master and was heavily involved in the scouting program. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, fishing, square dancing and travel. In addition to his hobbies he maintained several rental properties he owned.
Eldon is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Viola (Taylor) Lebow and his son, Ray Lebow. He is survived by his daughter, Betty Lane; his son, John Lebow; 4 grandchildren, Vickie, Vernon, Kendrea and Chris; 5 great grandchildren, James, Maricella, Elizabeth, Nicholas and Justin; and two great great grandchildren.
Eldon will lie in state Monday from 10:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A funeral will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Ninde Brookside Chapel with interment to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
