Obituary of Allen Harrison Clinkscales, Jr.

Allen Harrison Clinkscales, Jr. was born October 3, 1922 in Three Sands, OK to Allen Harrison & Violet Myrtle (Mayfield) Clinkscales, Sr. and passed from this life March 25, 2015 in Tulsa, OK at the age 92. After service in the Navy as a corps man during WWII, surviving the attack on Pearl Harbor and the battle of Midway(on the island of Midway). Attended Oklahoma University obtaining a Masters in Music. He spent his working life educating, teaching and directing vocal music in Ada and Duncan Ok. On Sundays he was choral music director at the First Untied Methodist Church in Duncan Ok. Anybody who was associated with Allen knew that vocal music was his life. The lasting memory of his Irish Tenor voice will be remembered by all who knew him. Allen was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John M. Clinkscales. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Mozelle (Harris) Clinkscale; his daughter and son-in-law, Karen Sue & Terry Forehand; his brother, Jerry Clinkscales; his grandchildren, Leigh Anne Chambers and Andrew Allen Forehand; and his great granddaughter, Sophia Nadine Chambers. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan, OK. Ninde Brookside Chapel ninde.com 918-742-5556
