Obituary of Wendolyn Dianne Pruitt Lyes

Please share a memory of Wendolyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Wendolyn Dianne (Pruitt) Lyes was born April 11, 1958 in Saginaw, MI to William & Lois (Johnson) Pruitt and passed from this life December 29, 2014 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 56. The smile that would shine when Wendolyn smiled could brighten the darkest day and bring joy to the discouraged. Her soft spoken demenor and genuine love won over the heart of almost everyone she encountered. Truly an angel on earth. Wendolyn loved praising her Jesus Christ & Jehovah, the true God. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed playing board games. Wendolyn earned a degree in Agriculture Science from Delta College in Bay City, Michigan. After relocating to Tulsa, OK; she attended Spartan College of Engineering and Aeronautics, earning a degree and certification in non-destructive testing. Having a very creative spirit, she started to make gel candles as a hobby, still finding ways to keep a smile on her face as well as yours. Whether it was playing a game of Scrabble, frequent park walks, gardening, making sure she attended every game of her sons, spades or just having movie night with Jesse, it was truly the simple things that meant the most. Wendolyn was preceded in death by her parents; by her ex-husband, Joe Lyes, Sr.; and her constant companion, Jesse Greadington, II. She is survived by her sons, Donovan Pruitt and his wife, Wye and Joe Lyes, Jr.; her sister, Dawn Pruitt; her brothers, William Pruitt, Jr. and Dean Pruitt, Sr. and his wife, Trina; extended family members, Aqui Greadington and Jesse Greadington, III; and her grandchildren, DeMauriaria Dean Pruitt, Xyonn Pruitt Keel and Carniya Pruitt. Special Thanks to Jerry & Sarah Beakley, Danny Zemora and Bunnie Saunders for the help and charity given to my family. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 2nd at the Ninde Brookside Chapel. Ninde Brookside Chapel ninde.com 918-742-5556 Your mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street, she's the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick and perfume that she wore, she's the cool hand on your brow when you're not felling well, she's your breath in the air on a cold winter day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep. The colors of the rainbow, she is your birthday morning. Your mother shows every emotion.......happiness, sadness, fear, jealously, love, hate, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrow....and all the while hoping and praying you will only know the good feelings in life. She's the place you came from, your first home, and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you. Not time, not space.....NOT EVEN DEATH!!!!!
