I've often thought of Judge and Mrs. Nelson through the past nearly 50 years. I was a newly wed and new to Tulsa when the Judge was injured, and my husband was one of the Tulsa policemen who guarded the judge. I met Mrs. Nelson during that time, and she was a very sweet gracious lady. God bless your family.

This is Lynn Nabb, daughter of Toi (Meek) Nidiffer Sanders. Just wanted to tell you that my Mom was very fond of Ann and would have been so very sad to hear of her passing. Mom passed away on 5/24 from pneumonia. She was a 49er also and I had the privilege to get to know Ann at several of the 49er Christmas parties. So, on Toi's behalf, I'd like to express condolences for your loss. Ann was a wonderful lady.

Our dearest Ann. We have known each other since we were five years old at Kendall Grade School Kindergarten and then going on to Wilson & Rogers. We have stayed in touch for 78 years. In 1948 Charlyne Lumly moved to Tulsa from Chicago and enrolled at Will Rogers. You were working in the office and became her mentor. Lucky for me you had her ask me to a Sadie Hawkins dance. You were a bridesmaid in our wedding on June 2, 1951. Your dear mother helped with invitations and planning. We called you on many of our anniversaries just to say thanks. This past June was our 63rd anniversary; we are going to miss these calls.The last time we saw you was October 2010 when we hosted a luncheon at the Mayo with many of our 49'ers reminiscing about our past. You have always been and will continue to be in our most wonderful memories. We love you.

Ann.....is who made the world go around. She loved her family explicitly. Her smile was immeasurable. Her every move was with grace and beauty. I will never forgot the way this amazing woman always made me feel when I was in the store. I will never see a butterfly, bee, bird, frog, for flower on anything that I will not think of her. Her sweet gentle hand leading me to the table, words or encouragement, and never ending friendship will remain forever in my heart!

Tulsa has lost a true treasure. Ann Nelson was a true lady, a very gentle and genteel person. Each time I ran into her over the last years she treated me with such decency and kindness I was extremely touched. I am a better person from having had the genuine privilege of knowing and loving Ann. I willmiss you always, Ann.
