Obituary of Donald Milner Neville

Don Neville, born in Oklahoma City, OK on October 8, 1930, passed away on May 2, 2014.
He grew up in Okmulgee, OK and graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1948. He graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in Business after 4 years of service in the United States Air Force. He served from 1951 – 1954, including 2 years serving in Japan. Don had a long and successful career as Administrator of the Tulsa City- County Health Department.
Don’s passion for sports was seen in many avenues, including Senior Men’s Softball, tennis, and the Senior Olympics, of which he served on the Board for many years. Don was an avid OU football fan and spent countless hours cheering on his Sooners. After retirement, Don volunteered as Ground Coordinator for Angel Flight, troubleshooter for Channel 2’s Call for Action, and volunteered at Saint Francis Children’s Hospital in the Library and Surgical Family Waiting Room. Don touched the lives of everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife Pauline Neville of 58 years, whom he married on August 13, 1955; son Greg Neville and daughter Monica Crodian and their spouses; four grandchildren, including Jason and Trevor Neville, Caitlin and Courtney Crodian.
Don's family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, May 7th, 2014, from 5 – 7pm at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, celebrate Don by having a banana split at Braum’s, go to a square dance, or volunteer for a worthy cause.
