RaNaye Lynn Crawford was born June 7, 1957 in Topeka, KS to Dean Adelbert & Carolyn LaNora (Allen) Crawford and passed from this life on September 11, 2011 at the age of 54.
RaNaye attended the University of Oklahoma for three years and continued to be an avid OU football fan. She served six years in the Army National Guard. Attended Spartan Aeronautics and received her airline pilot license. Later in life she moved to Florida and worked with the American Red Cross. Her service was recognized by Elizabeth Dole who was over the US Red Cross organization. RaNaye was a very giving and devoted worker for her community and even worked several hurricane disasters. RaNaye loved collectibles and enjoyed passing them to people who appreciated them. RaNaye lived in Colorado where she enjoyed the mountains and especially fishing before moving back to Tulsa in 2010.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents, Dewey & Bessie Allen and Alice Crawford; her uncles Denton Allen, Vic Crawford, Dave Crawford and Don Crawford; and her aunts, Joan Crawford and Audrey Crawford. RaNaye is survived by her mother and step-father, Carolyn & Charles Volturo of Sapulpa and numerous cousins.
RaNaye will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home and her funeral will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Red Cross, Tulsa Chapter, 10151 East 11th Street, Tulsa, OK 74128.
