Obituary of Ralph Welden

Ralph Edward Welden was born in San Jon, New Mexico to Charles Edward & Cora Mae (Hancock) on January 24, 1917 and passed from this life on June 14, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 94. Ralph was an ordained minister and worked with the Foursquare church upon his graduation from LIFE Bible college in 1950 until his retirement in 1990. He also worked at BF Goodrich for 39 years, including during World War II where he worked as a civilian training military personnel to repair fuel tanks for planes. After retirement, Ralph spent much of his time working in his garden and doing carpentry both large and small. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Ruby Mae Anderson; and his brother, Ross L. Welden. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Doris (Barksdale) Welden; his daughter and son-in-law, Carol & Donald Plamann; his son and daughter-in-law, Charles & Shirley Welden; his grandchildren, Daniel, Dawnnell, and Christine; his great grandchildren, Jonathan, Michelle, Melissa, Matthew and Madison. Ralph will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday with his funeral service being held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, both at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home Chapel. He will be laid to rest 12:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Walker Cemetery, Welch, Oklahoma. Ninde Brookside 918.742.5556 www.ninde.com
