Obituary of Chester Martindale

Born November 4, 1924 to Lee F. and Lorraine (Williams) Martindale of Bethany, OK, Chester LeRoy Martindale was finally called home April 19, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee F. and Lorraine Martindale, brother Weldon Martindale, lovely wife Peggy (Brehm) Martindale, oldest son Kenneth Martindale, and youngest son Ronald Martindale. Chester is survived by his middle son, Steve Martindale, daughter-in-law Jan (McJunkin) Martindale, grandchildren Ashlee and Brandon Martindale, great-grandchild, McKayla Martindale (all of Baytown, TX), daughter-in-law Bobbie (Cook) Martindale (Coppell, TX) and brother Ray Martindale (Bethany, OK), along with five nieces and one nephew. Chester was a long-time resident of Tulsa, OK and maintained a long and steady career at Nelson's Electric Supply Company. Chester's life was full of love and adventure. From camping to fishing to golf, life was hardly dull and with three boys (later 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild) to keep him on his toes, joy was found everywhere. He will be missed but the knowledge of his being healed, happy and reunited with family overcomes the pain. Good-bye Papaw, we will always love you!
