I loved aunt Lois dearly, when I was a small little boy she called me her baby. When I went to visit her in 1997 and 2007 she still called her 61 year old nephew baby. Aunt Lois was the sweetest person I ever knew, she always had a smile and a kind word for anyone she ever met,stranger or friend. She made a 5 year old boys day when she took him on a bus to Asheville and at the 5$dime store told him he could have anyone of the little toy cars that he wanted. My wife says the rest is hist0ry, the little boy is still playing with cars. There are so many fond memories of Lois and the entire Medford clan that it would take a book to write all of the stories. Lois truely loved them all and showed that in their relationships. We were all blessed by her in very special ways. We will all miss her, but she has rejoined her family with the the eternal peace of God as her assurance. May God give the family the peace that passeth all understanding. May God be with you all, love Richard and Barbara Penland .

I am blessed to have had a women like my great grandmother in my life. She was always so gentle and loving towards me. I am looking forward to the day we will see each other again in my fathers house.

My grandmother, Lois expressed unsurpassed amounts of love for me that it has and will to continue to go with me the rest of my life. I will miss her assuredly and always remember her. The most unforgettable memories are being able to stay with her during the summer breaks from school. She would always let me sleep with her and if I asked or wanted anything she would go out of her way to do whatever it took to see that I could obtain it. She was very generous with her time with me. She was my strength at all the times of trouble that life often deals to us. She gave hope to others and never gave up. Her long lived life was very much unselfished with very little material things, but yet she continued to live as though tommorrow would bring new hopes and dreams. I was truly blessed with a grandmother that lives on and when I see her again she will undoubtedly be waiting for me at the pearly gates with her loving charm. Thank you grandpa Srack for paving the way for those in later years who needed God's eternal gift of love (even though I don't remember you very well). Lois is now with you in eternal life right where she needed to be. Sandra

I was so sorry to hear about Aunt Lois passing away. Even though I had not seen her for many years, I have many precious memories of her. She graced this world with her presence for over 100 years and left her legacy in her family. I send my sincere condolences to Doug, Dan, John, Sandra and all the rest of the family. I donâ€™t know if you realize, she missed joining her mother one day shy of Mam-mawâ€™s birthday. Mam-maw was born on March 18, 1888. Much love to you all and God bless your family.
