Daughter, Regina East lit a candle

We will miss you, Mom
If roses grow in heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for me,
place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they are from us.
Tell her, we lover her & miss her, and when she turns to smile, place
a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.
Becuase remembering her may be easy, we'll do it every day,
but there'll be a ache in our hearts that will never go away.
We do not want to think of her as gone,
because her journey has only begun.
Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one.
So, just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears;
in warmth and comfort, where there will be no days or years.
Just think how she must be wishing that we could know today,
how our great sadness will eventually pass away.
So, we want to think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched,
for nothing loved is ever lost and she loved us, so very much.
In Memory of my Mother, Geraldine East
Love,
Regina East

My earliest memories of Aunt Gerre always included Uncle Charles. They loved to have us visit and he liked to make us biscuits out of a can but I always thought no biscuit ever tasted as good as the ones I had at their house. I have my Aunt Gerre to thank for my name because my namesake was her daughter. Our Aunt Gerre was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. She was small in stature but gigantic in spirit. I am grateful that she lived a very long and happy life. She loved hugs and loved to give them. We will miss her so very much. Rest forever in the arms of Jesus and we'll see you on the other side. Love you so very much Aunt Gerre!!!

Chuck / Regina I was saddened to hear of Geri's passing. I have fond memories of Geri and am grateful she knew I was her friend. I believe she's at peace and happy now, at home with her Lord. My condolences to you both

Chuck & Regina I'm sorry for your loss. The sorrow that comes with losing a mother is an unbearable one. When it's one so sweet, the pain is all the more bitter. She was a wonderful woman and I'll miss her hails to Chuck from the other room and stealthy stalking around the house, often standing behind him for entire paragraphs before she announced herself. She will be missed and I'm here for both of you if there is anything I can do to help.

Regina: We were honored to be given the opportunity to care for your mother. She was a very sweet lady. We all enjoyed her singing Silent Night to us. We miss her, too. The staff at Cleveland Manor Nursing Home

My Aunt Gerre was a small person with a huge heart. She loved spending time with children. Gerre showed us in many ways that she was a generous person. When I think of Aunt Gerre, I remember lots of cats, a big great dane named "Seth" and a very very steep front yard. I can still remember her telling me the "I Want My Big Toe" scary story. I think I was about 5 yrs old. That story will always be told in our family.
She loved and served God for many years.
We will miss her.

Mom loved her cats, and we never thought such a small-petite woman could defy death on several other occasionals like the cat with 9-lives. Gerre would always make sure to get home "to feed the cats." I already miss her asking about "Fluffy" the oldest cat, while she was recuporating from back surgery & broken ribs while at the Cleveland Manor these last few months. God bless her for making sure those feral cats were safe, although she loved all animals. Miss you mom!
Love, Regina

At times like this the wonderful memories that we carry in our heart cause us to reflect on the good times that Aunt Gerre and I enjoyed together even from the beginning of my life to more recent times. Gerre you were a wonderful person who touched many lives in a wonderful way. We know we will be seeing again in a joyous reunion. Regina and Chuck with regret we will not be able to attend your mom's funeral but will remember you in our prayers.

We are so very sorry about your mother. We loved her. I have many wonderful memories of spending time with Aunt Gerre as I was growing up. We had lots of fun together. Those memories will stay with me forever. We can not come to the funeral because we are unable to travel, but you will be in our hearts and prayers. Know that we love you.
