Although we did not get to know Jim as well as we'd have liked to, there were some things very evident about him: 1. He was all about his family. If you were his family's friend, you were his friend. 2. He was an "adopted" Dad and Grandpa to many throughout the years. He treated my kids like his own. 3. He was actively supportive in whatever activities his family was involved. 4. He was kind, unselfish, and mindful of others, and passed those character traits onto his family. 5. He had a great sense of humor. 6. He was thrilled to see his son live his dream, and was adament that he pursue it no matter what. 7. He left a family legacy to be proud of. Jim did not lose his battle with cancer. He just moved to higher ground with his dignity in tact. To the family, we love you all so very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with you constantly. Go and have a Merry Christmas as Jim would expect. Love, Mike, Valerie and kids
