Obituary of Jessie Jones

Jessie Bell Mathis Jones was born February 10, 1943 in Cumming, Georgia the daughter of Lewis Joseph and Lizzie Mae (Locke) Mathis. She died on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 67. Jessie was a longtime florist having owned For Every Season Flowers on South Sheridan in Tulsa. Jessie along with her son, Tim and his wife Jennifer, recently relocated the shop to Delaware and 91st street renaming it Bella Flowers. She is survived by her daughter, Annette Griffith and her husband Verl of Tulsa; her sons, Michael Jones of Cumming, GA and Timothy Jones and his wife Jennifer of Tulsa; her sisters, Nell Fortner of Turlock, CA and Dorothy Cantrell of Gainesville, GA; her Grandchildren, Lindsey Caswell, Evan Griffith, Hannah Jones, Amy Mulkey, Kay Jones and Skyler Jones; and her great Grandchildren, Scottie Caswell, Cole Mulkey and Cayden Payne. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Herbert Mathis. Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2010 in the Ninde Brookside Chapel with the Rev. Gina Jackson officiating. The family requests that memorials be made to the South Grand Lake Christian Church, P.O. Box 387, Langley, OK 74350.
