Obituary of Lloyd Richards

Lloyd W. Richards was born March 18, 1922 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma the son of L. L. "Jack" and Julia Fern (Williams) Richards. Lloyd died peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at his home in Tulsa, OK.
Lloyd graduated from Tulsa's Webster High School in 1940 where he remained a significant supporter of the Daniel Webster Alumni Association. He served his country in the U.S. Marines Corp. during WWII. Following his discharge he earned a Bachelor's degree from Tulsa University.
He founded Lloyd Richards Personnel Services, Inc. in 1961and later founded Lloyd Richards Tempories, Inc. in 1986. He was a formidable leader in his business based upon a foundation of professionalism and integrity. He retired from active business in 2000.
Lloyd was a member of the Oklahoma Association of Personnel Consultants, the Tulsa Executive Association and was a Paul Harris Fellow of the downtown Rotary Club of Tulsa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Huffman Richards on November 14, 2009.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathryn Bray Richards; his daughter, Linda Malone of Naples, FL; his son, Roger Richards of Naples, FL; his step-daughters, Kim Dickson of Tulsa and Kendall Bourland of Coolidge, AZ; his step-son, Casey Richards of Oklahoma City; 10 Grandchildren and 3 great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ninde Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 18th in the Ninde Brookside Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
