Dear family of Randall Grundy, You have my deepest sympathies in your loss. I did not know Mr. Grundy but felt led to read this obituary & was glad I did. I lost my 1st husband, John Carson, April 8, 2004 also to melanoma so I know the heartache & pain the family has gone through watching Mr. Grundy suffer. I pray you will be comforted in reflecting on the good times instead of the last 19 months. I only had John for 9 months after being diagnosed so your pain may be worse since it was more lengthy. I pray you will feel feel the presence of God during your grieving process. Let the Holy Spirit comfort you. In His Steps, Karen Carson Smith

I was so saddened to hear of Randy's passing. What a beautiful spirit he had. I first met Randy many many years ago as we worked on The United Way of Benton County. A bright smile was always on his face and his "can do" attitude was inspiring. Thank you for all of the great memories and happy times. Melanie Kerr Kettner

I was so sorry to hear about Randy's death. Randy and I have known each other for over 20 years. In fact, he was the one who hired me to work for the United Way of Bentonville. He was the most dedicated volunteer I have ever worked with and he had a real passion for United Way and for his community. He was a role model to every one who knew him and he will be missed. I know I will miss him dearly! My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Dawn, I am saddened to hear of Randy's passing - - what a fine gentleman! I enjoyed working with Randy at United Way - - always a smile on his face, always doing a little bit more than was necessary! I last saw Randy at a Tulsa Marathon packet pick up in 2008 - - as usual doing his volunteer work - - we visited as though we had been seeing each other everyday - - but that was Randy - - a genuine, warm, and loving individual! My heart goes out to you and your family - - you will remain in my thoughts and prayers!

It has been a privilege and an inspiration to be Randy's cousin. His determination and dedication to his running was impressive to me, he didn't let aches and pains rule him, he kept training and moving forward. I loved being able to see him blast past us in Boston a few times, always an appreciative wave and smile from him to his throng of admirers. I will miss his gentle way, his love for his wonderful family, and his respect and caring for everyone he met.
