My dear Patty and Angela working on my genealogy I came upon your Mom's obituary. My heart was immediately sadden as you have NO idea of how many times I have thought of her and wondered where she was. My life was certainly made richer by her friendship many, many years ago. As a very young girl she certainly made an influence on me. Now as a great grandmother I still retain those very fond memories of both A. Lou & U. Mike. I only wish I had been able to speak with her before she left us but I will always have my memories. It sounds like you all have families now also.. You most likely don't remember me, I was Dewey's Freddie, that was a long time back. My love to both of you.

I don't think the first message I sent went through. So, I'm writing it again. Aunt Lou was a very nice and classy lady. Tom and I did not get to see her very much in the past few years, but have thought of her often. She was always nice to us. I'm sorry we can't be at the service. Grandmama, I am so proud to be your granddaughter. Your beauty, grace, and spirituality will live on in all of the lives you touched, and that number is immeasurable. You weren't just my Grandmama, you were my friend. I will cherish the memories I have with you and will continue to share them with your great-granddaughter. I loved our sleep-overs; I spent the night with you more than I did my friends growing up! Birthdays were always looked forward to because of our shopping trips. But it was never about buying things, it was about spending time with you and having so much fun. I knew an outfit was a good one because my Grandmama helped pick it out, and that gave me so much confidence. I loved going to church with you. You had such a great love of the Lord, and you let that love be known to everyone. You were proud to be a servant of Him, and you were a shining example of how to appreciate how awesome our God is. You made me feel so loved when you introduced me as your granddaughter and "namesake", and I will always strive to live up to your name. I promise I will live my life as you lived yours, with a loving heart, a gentle voice, and complete unselfishness. My comfort now is that you are finally with Papa. He has been waiting for his angel for so long. I miss you. I love you. Love, Tricia Louise
