.David Alan Sykes was born October 31, 1940 in Clarksville, Arkansas the son of Ralph and Sue (Adkins) Sykes. David completed this life on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 69.
David was reared in Clarksville where he graduated from high school. He served his country in the United State Army Reserves. He was a welder having worked in the oil industry.
He married Linda (Harrington) Hicks who survives him. He is also survived by his daughter: Kimberly Sykes of Broken Arrow, OK; his son, Mark Alan Sykes of Broken Arrow, OK; his step-daughters, Sarah Elaine Hicks and Shannon Elizabeth Hicks; step-grandchild, Jacob Gribble; his sisters, Sandra Simms and her husband Bobby of Montgomery, AL and Sue Ann May of Houston, TX.
The family requests that memorials be made to Therapetics, 9433 E. 51st, Suite J, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.
A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010 in the Holman Cemetery, Clarksville, Arkansas.
