Obituary of George Corlett

Corlett, George Thomas, 85, died Sunday. George was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 27, 1921 to his parents George Edgar & Laura M. (Hepp)Corlett. Upon graduation of High School George entered the United States Navy where he served honorably and was highly decorated prior to his honorable discharge in October of 1952. George married Dorothy M. (Knight) Corlett on May 31, 1944 in San Francisco, California. Upon cessation of his military career George worked for Sun Oil Company as a Supervisor and retired after thirty-eight years of service. George was active in his church, Faith Assembly of God, serving in many capacities and endearing himself to all. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of the home; his daughters, Janie Cushman and her husband Paul; Judy Wales and her husband Bob, of Blue Springs, Missouri; his step sisters, Cass Fielding and Agnes Kearnes, both of Philadelphia; his grandchildren; John, Justin, Billy & Crystal and his great-grandchildren; Bailey, George Wyatt & Beau. Service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Faith Assembly of God located at 7500 E. 21st Street.
