Obituary of Clarence Reed

Clarence Eugene Reed, 74, died on Thursday, February 1, 2007. Born September 13, 1932 in Mangum, Oklahoma the son of Roy Bruce and Ludie B. (Long) Reed. Received his Bachelor of Industrial Arts from Oklahoma City University in 1961. Member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. He was a retired personnel director of Yuba Heat Transfer Co. He served in the Armed Forces for a total of 9 years, proudly serving in the Army National Guard, Naval Reserve, Regular Army (Skysweeper Class C-17), and Air Force. Clarence was a member of Mended Hearts, Inc., Volunteers In Corrections (Prison Ministries), and honorary member of TCC Retirees. He married Bobbie Jean Sharpe on June 9, 1974 and she preceded him in death on November 29, 2006. Survived by: Son: Roy Bruce Reed of St. Charles, MO; Daughter: Julie Kaye Haas of Oklahoma City; step-son Steven Paul Pherigo of Kailua, HI; daughter in laws: Nancy Reed and Brenda Molina-Pherigo; Grandchildren: Canada Dawn Cortesio wife of Paul, Moore OK, David Bruce Reed and Steven Daniel Reed of St. Charles, MO, Damian Hilton Pherigo and Danielle Star Molina-Pherigo both of Kailua, HI. He is the foundation of our family, and with his legacy of love in our hearts our potentials are endless. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Southern Hills Baptist Church.
