Ralph D. (Red) Chapman passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, November 2. He was born February 18, 1920 in Muskogee, Oklahoma where he spent his childhood. He moved to Tulsa and was employed by Warehouse Market where he met his wife Jean. They were married January 5, 1941. He served in the Navy receiving an honorable discharge September, 1948. Red worked for Amoco retiring after 37 years of service. He and Dick Colvin ran the Tulsa Speedway Stock Car races for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jean of 58 years, his parents Rife and Geneva Chapman, mother Bessie Davis Slate, one brother L.R. and a sister Gloria and a beloved grandson, Ryan.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen, her husband Roger Bolton of Stillwater, grandson Brad Bolton of Santa Monica, California, granddaughters Dana, her husband Greg Vowell of Omaha, Nebraska, April and Brian Frere of Broken Arrow, five great grandchildren Joshua, Whitney, Cassidy, Dane and Jared. Two brothers Paul and Frank along with his wife Brenda Chapman of Las Vegas, Nevada, three sisters Lahoma Parker, Tyler, Texas, Irene and Tommy Fix, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jody Estes, Shreveport, Louisiana. Also many nieces and nephews and great longtime friends. Services are 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 10, at Ninde Woodland Chapel, 5757 S.
