Obituary of Nellie Riley

Riley, Nellie Irma (Metcalf), age 92, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2006. She was born on April 14, 1914 in Waldron, AR to William and Nora Metcalf. She graduated from Roland High School in Roland, OK in 1932 and moved to Tulsa the same year. She took a business course and was employed by Fred E. Cooper until 1946. Beginning that year she was employed by Phillips Petroleum Co. and retired after 35 years service. After one year of retirement she went to work at Akdar Shrine Temple for 13 years. During this period she joined the following organizations; White Shrine of Jerusalem, Daughter of the Nile, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Order of Amaranth, past Royal Matron, past Grand Royal Matron of Oklahoma and member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Nellie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Albert E. Riley and a brother, Eugene. She is survived by her son, Robert Earl Riley and wife, Kathy; grandson, Robert Michael Riley; half sister, Connie Waguespack, 2 nieces, 3 nephews, 1 great niece, 1 great nephew and 1 great great nephew. Funeral services will be held in her honor at 1:00 P.M. Thursday Trinity United Methodist Church with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials: Akdar Shrine Temple, Transportation Fund, 2808 S.
