Chandler, Gene Albert, 82, a longtime Berryhill resident, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in Kennesaw, GA. Gene was born on September 27, 1927 in Depew, OK to Prince Albert Chandler and Verna (Anderson) Chandler. He was a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he received his Master's Degree. Gene served in the Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a Captain. He taught in the Berryhill school system for 25 years before retiring and was a member of Carbondale Assembly of God. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Teanna and Rick Grisham, of Kennesaw, GA; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Julie Chandler, of Garner, NC; 2 sisters, Estelle Arrowood and Launa Beiter; a brother, Andy Chandler and 4 grandchildren. Service 1:00 P.M. Monday Carbondale Assembly of God with interment in Bristow City Cemetery. Ninde Brookside Chapel 918-742-5556.
