Keith Ray Arnett was born September 21, 1927 in Herington, Kansas to Charles Burton and Mildred B. (Engle) Arnett and passed from this life May 11, 2010 at the age of 82. He lived and raised his family in Tulsa. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Rex Arnett and son Mark Charles Arnett, Keith is survived by; his wife Elda Mae (Gilbert) Arnett, son David Arnett and brother William B. and Louise Arnett and family of Tulsa, nephew Larry and Linda Arnett, granddaughter Carolyn D. and William Thompson and his great grandchildren, Caley and Nicholas Thompson of Sand Springs; and a host of extended family throughout the world. Keith graduated from Tulsa's Will Rogers High School and worked in his parents' business, Tulsa Greenhouse, until he purchased the Tulsa Blossom Shoppe which Keith and Elda Mae operated until their retirement. Keith was one of Tulsa's original "young professionals" with the Junior Chamber of Commerce as news editor for "The Derrick" publication in the mid 50s. He was long active in the Downtown Kiwanis Club and participated with his sons in Boy Scout activities at Troop 20. Keith and Elda Mae hosted many international students in their home. Later Keith provided shelter and support for Vietnamese refugees. Keith helped found two international churches in Tulsa and hundreds of grateful people (now not so young) called him grandfather. Keith was a Christian, family-man, small businessman, patriot and he loved a good cup of coffee. Keith will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday with a family visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, all at the Ninde Woodland Funeral Home Chapel at 5757 South Memorial Dr. Final interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
