Margie (Smith) Peters left this world on angel wings Monday, April 26, 2010. She was born on November 26, 1922 to James W. and Lena (Dunn) Smith in Winters, Texas. The family moved to Tulsa from Winters in 1931. After graduation from Central High School in 1940 she attended business college before establishing her career as an administrative assistant with Tidewater Oil Company and Kin-Ark Corporation. She retired in 1984. A loving and precious daughter, wife, mother and grandmother was preceded in death by her father and mother, seven brothers and two sisters, her husband Stanley R. Peters and great-grandson, Addison Luce. She is survived by daughter Tanya and husband Tom Luce, son Ron and wife Bonnie Peters. Known to her family lovingly as "Granny" she is also survived by grandchildren Ron Johns, Jr. and wife Brenda of Weatherford Texas, Greg Peters and wife Amy of Owasso, Ronda and husband Chris Falkensten of Tulsa, James Dandridge and wife Kandra of Owasso, Marc Luce and wife Brandi of Frisco, Texas and Melissa and husband Eric Hill of Prosper Texas. Granny is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, Trey and Brooke Johns, Jordan, Isabella and Samuel Peters, Logan, Kadin and Ethan Falkensten, Kaleb and Karsten Dandridge, Victoria, Faith and Seth Luce and Kaitlyn Hill. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Wanda Leigh, Retha, R.C., Jr., George F, Jr., Suzi and especially Jo Loy who was a devoted niece to her Aunt Margie for so many years. Margie also leaves behind her special friend and caregiver, Lisa Merrill. Family and friends will especially miss this most gracious child of God but all can be assured she is teaching the angels to sing her beloved "Gaither Music" and showing her new friends how to play "Skip-Bo". Margie will lie in state Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home, 3841 S Peoria, Tulsa. Graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.
