Please share a memory of Larry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Larry Dale "Big Dawg" Harding was born on June 7, 1953 in Tulsa, OK to the union of Etta Mae and David Lee Harding. He passed from this life on Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Larry grew up in Tulsa and attended Dunbar Elementary, Carver Junior High and graduated from Booker T. Washington Senior High School with the class of 1972. Larry was a Boy Scout. In October of 1974 Larry met Cassandra Ann Wilson and in April of 1975 they were married. Already raising one daughter, "Andrea Love" as his own, he and Cassandra, known to all as "Sandy", were proudly blessed with two more children, a daughter, "Anita Joy" and a son, Larry Dale Jr., known as Love, Joy and Lil Larry. For many years he worked with the City of Tulsa. Upon departing employment with the City he remained employed with Southern Hills Country Club for many dedicated years until his time of death. Larry's grandmothers, Anna Benson and Earline Williams; two sisters, Salina and Gwendolyn; one brother, Ronnie and a daughter, Carrie Ware all preceded him in death. Larry will always be remembered for the way he could make you smile and laugh. And if you played dominoes or cards with him, you already know those were the days. Larry will be truly missed, for he leaves a legacy. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Etta Mae Richardson; his father, David Lee Harding; his son, Lil Larry, of Tulsa, OK; three daughters, Leticia "Teca" Williams, of Texas, Love and Joy, both of Tulsa, OK; his four sisters, Joyce, Christina, Anna and Chelinda; four brothers, Roy, Benjamin and Orville, all of Tulsa, OK and James, of Ohio; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild and along with a host of other relatives and friends who forever miss his presence.
