Dale Lee McKenzie, Sr., 77, died on Saturday, November 21, 2009. He was born October 7, 1932 in Longview, Texas the son of Doc Lee and Clara Maureen (Black) McKenzie. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Tulsa University and also served in the U.S. Army from 1953 until 1955. He retired as a clerk from the U.S. Postal service. He married Desiree Ira Gamble on May 11, 1957. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Don Ray McKenzie Survivors: his wife of 52 years, Desiree; his son: Dale Lee McKenzie, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Tulsa; his daughter: Michelle Stenslie and her husband Aaron of Broken Arrow; his sister: Kay Ann McKenzie; his grandchildren: Kelly McKenzie, Evan Woodruff, Ryan Stenslie and Matt Stenslie, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 Tuesday at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Rose Chapel of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church.
