Clayton was my friend and mentor in Colombia - South America, during his international assistances visiting customers in our country, and offering his expertise in sucker rod technologies, in our mutual professional field. We shared many working days between 1993 and 1999, where I received many lessons from him. We jointly elaborated several technical papers on the subject and he participated in several oil shows and technical meeting in the country. I visited Tulsa-Oklahoma several times in connection with the Norris Sucker Rods factory where Clayton was a Services Manager. I had the opportunity to meet and share with his beautiful family, his wife and young children. Clayton always distinguished himself by his professionalism, kindness, friendliness, altruism, and sympathy. Certainly the news of his departure left me very saddened, and was a great sorrow for all the local oil industry that knew him.
